Meet Monica Sgritta, our Tennis Director

Avalon is excited to have Monica Sgritta as our Tennis Director. Monica brings with her a lifelong love of tennis and true passion for the game.

Monica, born and raised in Romania, came to the US to play tennis at the University of Oklahoma. After a successful collegiate career and earning a graduate degree, Monica served as assistant coach at UCONN, Purdue-Ft Wayne, VCU, and Randolph Macon. As a PTR certified tennis professional, she has over 15 years of teaching experience at various private clubs.

Monica lives in the West End with her husband, Stephen, who is Sports Director at the YMCA, and two boys, Nico (4) and Matteo (2).
