Membership Categories & Current Fee Schedule
$90 discount for new members who pay 100% by May 1, 2012.
$30 discount for new social members who pay 100% by May 1, 2012.

ONE-TIME Initiation Fee: The fee can be split over three payments (subject to the terms and conditions of the Avalon Initiation Fee Agreement). The first payment of $330 is received at the time the annual dues are paid. The second payment of $330 is due on July 15th. The final payment of $330 is due October 15th. NOTE: A new member cannot use the facilities until the entire yearly dues (see categories below) are paid and the Initiation Fee Agreement has been signed by all parties. |

| $575 | Family | The family category includes husband, wife and any unmarried children (limited to age 23 if in college) living at home. This also includes single parents with unmarried children living at home. A full description of the Family Membership is found in the Bylaws. |
| $355 | Single | The single category includes a person between the ages of 18 and 59. A full description of the Single Membership is found in the Bylaws. |
| $435 | Empty Nester | The empty nester category includes a person forty-seven years of age or older with a spouse. One member must be forty-seven years of age by March 1 of the applicable dues year and proof of age must be submitted to Avalon. Generally speaking, an Empty Nester means no dependent children living in the household on a full-time basis. A full description of the Empty Nester Membership is found in the Bylaws. |
| $305 | Senior Couple | The senior couple category includes a person sixty years of age or older with a spouse. One member must be sixty years of age by March 1 of the applicable dues year. A full description of the Senior Couple Membership is found in the Bylaws. |
| $215 | Senior Single | The senior single category includes a person sixty years of age or older without a spouse. The member must be sixty years of age by March 1 of the applicable dues year. A full description of the Senior Single Membership is found in the Bylaws. |
| $165 | Inactive | The inactive category does not have any membership rights. A member that moves to the inactive status cannot use the facility for any purposes and the inactive person, couple or family cannot be on any Avalon team (swim, dive or tennis). A social membership unit shall be defined as one of the above categories: Full Family, Adult Single, Empty Nester, Senior Couple or Senior Single Membership. However, a Social Membership solely grants attendance to all Association social events and use of Association tennis facilities. Social members do not have voting rights. Social members do not have access to Associations’ swimming pools and clubhouse facilities (unless attending an Association social event). The social membership initiation fee is $330. The annual dues of the social membership unit shall be the full annual dues of the appropriate corresponding membership category (i.e. full family, adult single, etc). Social Membership can be converted to Full Membership by payment of 66.67% of initiation fee in effect at the time of conversion. |
Over the past few years, we have upgraded our facilities which now include:
- Upper Pool with two one-meter
- Olympic quality diving boards
- Lower Pool with 25-meter lap lanes
- “Kiddie Pool” fenced-in for our youngest members
- Eight lighted tennis courts
- Clubhouse with Snack Bar
Avalon has something for everyone! Perhaps more importantly, Avalon is a great value for practically year-round family entertainment.
